When to call an emergency plumber
Plumbing emergencies don’t wait for business hours. If water is pouring out, backing up, or you’ve lost water or a working toilet, call us any time. A dripping faucet or a slow drain can usually wait for a scheduled visit; anything causing water damage can’t.
If you smell gas, leave the house first and call 911 and your gas company from outside.
What to do while you wait
A few quick steps can limit the damage until your plumber arrives. Stay on the phone with us if you’re not sure how to do any of them.
24/7 emergency plumbing across the Treasure Valley
We answer calls and texts around the clock, every day of the year, and dispatch plumbers to homes and businesses across Boise and the Treasure Valley. When your plumber arrives, they find the source, stop the damage, and explain what it will take to fix it properly, with a clear price before the repair starts.
Common emergency repairs include burst and leaking pipes, broken water lines, sewer and main drain clogs, failed water heaters, broken shut-off valves and frozen pipes.
Stop the next emergency before it starts
An automatic water shut-off valve closes your main line the moment a sensor detects a leak. Insulating outdoor faucets and exposed pipes before winter prevents most frozen-pipe calls, and a yearly plumbing inspection through the Drake Duck Club catches worn valves and failing water heaters early.

Josh and his crew (Oscar and Levi) came out to install my new water heater and repipe my entire home. It was 3 days and they did a fantastic job! I will add that my drywall guy came to make some repairs and he also said they did a fantastic job! Thank you again to the entire team!

We were having low water pressure from our kitchen faucet and tried changing the cartridge and the wand and a few other things with no success. Thomas Conley came out and fixed problem within an hour. Now our water pressure is back to normal and we are extremely happy. Thomas is very professional and knowledgeable. Very happy with Drake Mechanical

Common questions
Have a question that isn’t here? Call us any time at (208) 362-6200.
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Anything that’s actively causing water damage or leaves you without water or a working toilet: a burst or leaking pipe, a sewer backup, an overflowing toilet that won’t stop, a leaking water heater, or no water at all. If you smell gas, leave the house and call 911 and your gas company first. A dripping faucet can usually wait for a scheduled visit.
How do I shut off the water to my house?
Find your main shut-off valve. It’s usually where the water line enters the house: in a basement, crawl space, utility room or garage, often near the water heater. Turn a round handle clockwise until it stops, or turn a lever handle a quarter turn so it sits across the pipe. If you can’t find it or it won’t turn, call us and we’ll talk you through it.
What should I do while I wait for an emergency plumber?
Shut off the water at the main valve or at the fixture, turn off the water heater if it’s leaking (gas: set the control to “pilot” or “off”; electric: switch off its breaker), move valuables away from the water, and keep people and pets away from any wet electrical outlets.
Do you offer emergency service?
