Boise homes, old and new
Boise’s older neighborhoods, like the North End, still have homes heated by steam and hot water radiators, and we work on them; see boilers and steam radiators. Older homes can also have galvanized water pipes that rust and narrow with age; see water lines and repiping.
Newer homes across the city run on furnaces, heat pumps, central air and tankless water heaters, and we service every one. Hard water is common across the valley and is tough on water heaters, so a yearly flush or a water softener helps them last.

Josh and his crew (Oscar and Levi) came out to install my new water heater and repipe my entire home. It was 3 days and they did a fantastic job! I will add that my drywall guy came to make some repairs and he also said they did a fantastic job! Thank you again to the entire team!

Smelled gas when we were unhooking the stove, called Drake they immediately sent Thomas out. Make sure you don’t lose him, he’s a keeper. He took care of the problem, we’re good to go.

We had an excellent experience with Drake Mechanical. We needed a wine cellar AC split system repaired and they were able to help us out (apparently this requires a specialist). We appreciate their timely and professional repair.

This is the second time Bryce has done repairs on my AC. He is so kind & knowledgeable and is thorough in explaining the issue and how it is being fixed. AC units are too expensive to replace & I appreciate that Bryce found other solutions.

Common questions
Have a question that isn’t here? Call us any time at (208) 362-6200.
Do you serve all of Boise?
Yes. We work across Boise, from the North End, downtown and the Bench to southeast Boise, the foothills and west Boise, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our shop is at 5551 W. Gowen Rd. in southwest Boise. We come to you; call, text or book online.
Why do my radiators bang and knock?
In a steam system, banging is usually water hammer: condensed water trapped in a pipe that live steam slams into. A failed steam trap, pipes that have lost their slope, or a radiator that isn’t pitched toward its valve are common causes. We find and fix the source.
How long does a water heater last?
A tank water heater typically lasts around 8 to 12 years, depending on your water and how well it’s been maintained. Tankless water heaters often last longer. A yearly flush and a check of the anode rod help any water heater last as long as possible.
Do you offer emergency service?
Yes. We’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for plumbing, heating and air conditioning emergencies. Call or text (208) 362-6200.
