Signs your sink or faucet needs work
A dripping faucet wastes water every day, and a slow drain or a leak under the sink can damage cabinets and floors before you notice. Most of these are quick repairs; sometimes a new faucet or disposal is the better value.
How a Drake sink and faucet job works
Our plumbers repair and replace kitchen, bathroom and laundry sinks, faucets, drains and shut-off valves, including undermount, drop-in, vessel, pedestal and wall-mount sinks. We work on all major brands, install lead-free faucets, and can install a fixture you’ve bought or help you choose one.
You get your options and a clear price from the plumber who looked at the job.
Kitchen and bathroom faucets
From single-handle and pull-down kitchen faucets to widespread and single-hole bathroom faucets, we repair leaks, replace cartridges and handles, and install new faucets in any finish. If a faucet’s parts are no longer made, we’ll recommend a replacement that fits your sink.
Garbage disposals and instant hot water dispensers
We repair jammed, leaking and noisy garbage disposals and install new ones sized for how you cook, including a separate disposal in a garage or utility sink for cleaning fish and game. We also install and repair instant hot water dispensers, with an inline filter for cleaner water.
Laundry and utility sinks
A utility sink in the laundry room or garage gives you a place for muddy boots, paintbrushes and stain soaking. We install new laundry sinks, including running new water and drain lines where there wasn’t one before, and repair or replace old faucets and drains.

We were having low water pressure from our kitchen faucet and tried changing the cartridge and the wand and a few other things with no success. Thomas Conley came out and fixed problem within an hour. Now our water pressure is back to normal and we are extremely happy. Thomas is very professional and knowledgeable. Very happy with Drake Mechanical

Josh and his crew (Oscar and Levi) came out to install my new water heater and repipe my entire home. It was 3 days and they did a fantastic job! I will add that my drywall guy came to make some repairs and he also said they did a fantastic job! Thank you again to the entire team!

Common questions
Have a question that isn’t here? Call us any time at (208) 362-6200.
Should I repair or replace my faucet?
A drip or a stiff handle is often a worn cartridge or washer, which is a quick repair on a good-quality faucet. If the faucet is corroded, leaking from the body, or parts are no longer made, replacing it usually makes more sense. Your plumber will tell you which is the better value.
Can you install a faucet or sink I bought myself?
Yes. We install faucets, sinks, disposals and other fixtures you’ve bought, or we can help you choose one that fits your sink, your counter and your plumbing.
Why does my garbage disposal hum but not turn?
It’s usually jammed. Turn it off at the switch, and never put your hand inside. Many disposals have a reset button on the bottom and a hex socket for freeing the blades. If it still won’t turn, trips the breaker or leaks, call us to repair or replace it.
What shouldn’t go down a garbage disposal?
Grease and oil, bones, fruit pits, coffee grounds, eggshells, pasta and rice, and stringy foods like celery and corn husks. Run cold water while the disposal is on and for a few seconds after to keep the drain clear.
Do you offer emergency service?
Yes. We’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for plumbing, heating and air conditioning emergencies. Call or text (208) 362-6200.
