What kind of heater is best for a garage or shop?
It depends on the space, how often you heat it and the fuel you have. Gas and propane unit heaters heat large spaces quickly and cost less to run; electric heaters are simpler to install where there’s no gas. We’ll recommend a size and type, and run any gas line and venting it needs.
Do I need a gas line for a garage heater?
For a gas or propane unit heater, yes. We run the gas line, install the flue pipe or venting, mount the heater and add a thermostat, including Wi-Fi models you can control from your phone.
What should I do if I smell gas or my carbon monoxide alarm goes off?
Get everyone out of the house right away, leave doors open behind you, and don’t switch lights or appliances on or off. From outside, call 911 and your gas company. Once it’s safe, call us and we’ll find and fix the cause.
