What About New Boilers?

If you need to get a Boiler replaced, whether it be gas, propane or a Fuel oil/waste oil boiler Drake Mechanical is your one stop shop.  If you don't have a boiler and want to put a hydronic heating system in your office Drake's can help with that too.  

Boiler Maintenance

Drake Mechanical recommends some of the following boiler maintenance to be done on an annual or bi-annual basis depending on your usage and needs:

  • Inhibitors and/or Glycol levels for your boiler system checked
  • Gas Pressures checked for proper levels and operation on your boilers gas train
  • Combustion analyzer testing to check for proper flame burn and efficiency as per manufacturer specs on your boiler
  • Backflow preventer tested and certified on the makeup water of your boiler for proper operation
  • Verify pressure tank functionality along with air separators and functionality of air vents on your boiler system
  • Check operation of flame sensors be it a flame sensing rod or infra red eye
  • Check operation of all safety devices such as low water cut off, high temperature limit ect. on your boiler(s) so that if something does go wrong it will shut off before an explosion or major damage can occur.
  • Check for error codes on boiler controller
  • any other checks deemed necessary by manufacturer of your particular brand of boiler
